The calorstat is useful for regulating the temperature of the engine so as to maintain it constant, according to an operating temperature value determined by the manufacturer.

This element is also essential for heating in the car, because it is the circuit containing the heating radiator of your Renault 4L or Estafette which works in all cases, and the circuit with the engine radiator is gradually opened by the calorstat when the temperature approaches the determined value.

An opening value of 75 ° C may be preferred in the case of use of the car at high outside temperatures for example (desert raid) or regular high speed engine loads. But beware, the decline in the opening value will automatically reduce the efficiency of heating.

This kit was developed for Renault Estafette. It makes it possible to adapt a carburettor of 60mm spacing on a pipe intended for the mounting of a carburettor of center distance 65mm or vice versa.

In other words, it allows the mounting of a 32 DIS carburettor on a pipe provided for a carburetor 32 PDIS or auto carb choke of the first 1100 (or vice versa).
